PS196Q is proud to be ranked one of the top schools in NYC!
Through our community’s (staff, students and families) hard work and dedication to combatting the Covid Slide, we were able to accomplish great things! In the fall of 2021, we used data across all subjects to identify students who had slipped in their academics. We then targeted those students with tailored interventions and supports, to help them regain their standing. The evidence that all of this hard work paid off is that PS196Q is not only the number one school in ELA (English Language Arts) and Math in District 28, but among the top 10 schools across all of New York City. In fact, we are the only community school in Queens to have made it to the Top 10! Congratulations to everyone who made these results possible.
